Local News in Brief : Boy Found Shot to Death

An autopsy on a teen-ager found dead in the street near a bicycle on New Year’s Eve showed that he was killed by a gunshot wound, authorities said.
Tamoi Collins, 17, of Inglewood, was found lying in the street next to the curb at 126th Street and Broadway in the unincorporated county area of South Los Angeles about 6:30 p.m. New Year’s Eve, Sheriff’s Deputy Kathryn Nielsen said. Authorities could not immediately determine what killed the youth, she said, noting, “His death is now being investigated as a murder.”
