Westside : Cities Get Tax Revenue
The state Board of Equalization recently announced its distribution of sales and use taxes for cities.
The Westside’s four cities received the following amounts: Beverly Hills, $1,007,626; Culver City, $947,776; Santa Monica, $1,264,746, and West Hollywood, $571,135.
The five-member board collects and administers the 6.5% sales and use tax for Los Angeles County. Local governments receive 1% of the tax.
