Twenty-six British soccer fans will be tried for manslaughter for their parts in the 1985 Heysel stadium riots that left 39 dead and 450 injured, a Belgian court decided.
Three Belgians also will be tried. No date for the trials was set.
The riots erupted before a European Cup final between Liverpool and Juventus Turin when British fans attacked Italian spectators who retreated in panic and crushed each other to death.
