Dozens of Elvis Presley fans observed the King’s 53rd birthday Friday by visiting his grave at Graceland and braving snow and ice at the white-columned mansion for pieces of pink and black birthday cake. About 75 people turned out for an early morning cake cutting attended by Presley’s longtime manager, Colonel Tom Parker. Organizers of an Elvis birthday banquet Friday night said they had sold 400 tickets for the affair. Presley was born Jan. 8., 1935, and died at age 42 in 1977.
