Mobile-Home Issue Placed on Ballot
An initiative for rent control at Westminster mobile-home parks was approved Tuesday by the City Council for placement on the June 7 ballot.
The initiative would limit annual mobile-home rent increases to two-thirds of the consumer price index. The CPI for 1987 was about 4.1%.
The initiative would also provide for arbitration to settle grievances between owners of the parks and their residents.
