Beverly Hills : April Election Filing Begins
The filing period opens today for candidates for three City Council seats and for city treasurer in the April 12 municipal election.
Nominating papers can be picked up at the city clerk’s office at City Hall, 450 N. Crescent Drive. Papers must be returned by 5 p.m. on Feb. 4.
If an incumbent does not file for reelection, the filing period will be extended to Feb. 9, according to City Clerk Jean M. Ushijima.
Treasurer Ramon I. Gerson, who has served for 16 years, has said that he will not seek another term. Mayor Benjamin H. Stansbury and City Councilwomen Donna Ellman and Charlotte Spadaro have not announced whether they intend to run again.
