Local News in Brief : Costa Mesa : Orange Coast College Picks Interim PR Chief

Daniel Angelo, assistant registrar at Orange Coast College, has been named the institution’s temporary director of marketing and community relations.

Angelo, 35, will be filling in for Jim Carnett, who was granted a one-year leave of absence in October to work for a public relations and advertising firm.

Before coming to the college in 1984, Angelo was director of admissions at Woodbury University in Los Angeles. As part of his duties there, he helped develop posters, brochures and ads for radio and the press.

In his new role, Angelo will direct all promotional and public relations activities. He will also be in charge of the college’s publications office.

A resident of Santa Ana, Angelo received his bachelor’s degree from Chapman College and is working toward his master’s degree through the University of San Francisco.
