More TV Film Critics

I had to laugh when, a couple months ago, I overheard Gary Franklin on his KABC broadcast blasting what he called the “alleged critics” who write for the city’s trade dailies. (They hadn’t liked “Weeds,” you see, a film that was rapidly become a personal crusade for Gary.)

This man has no business calling professional writers “alleged” anything. To paraphrase Woody Allen, as a TV film critic he is “a mockery of a travesty of a mockery of a sham.”
