Local News in Brief : Garden Grove : City Numbers to Change With New Phone System
The city is installing a new telephone system, effective today, that is designed to improve service, but all city numbers will be changed.
The only number that will remain is the 911 emergency number. The changes will affect City Hall, the police and fire departments and the City Yard.
Residents will still be allowed to dial the old numbers and will be automatically connected to the appropriate office. The city will publish the new telephone numbers soon, said Robert Kelleher, head of the city’s telecommunications system.
For general information, the new telephone number is (714) 741-5000.
