Czechoslovak police broke up a meeting of the Charter 77 human rights movement in Prague after rounding up at least 10 leading members in a move to prevent the meeting from taking place, emigres in Vienna reported. Most of the 10 were released later in the day, the emigres said, adding that up to 12 others were believed picked up by police in earlier roundups outside the capital. However, they said that about 65 charter activists gathered at a Prague restaurant and attempted to hold a general forum on political activities. Police interrupted the meeting after 45 minutes, the emigres said.
