Groups on both sides of the abortion issue demonstrated Sunday at Faneuil Hall to mark the 15th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to legalize abortion.

The chants of both groups, which consisted of 35 to 40 abortion rights supporters and 50 to 75 opponents, attracted tourists and shoppers at the Boston landmark.

Bill Baird, who said he has fought for the public’s right to birth control and abortion freedom for 25 years, spoke on behalf of the abortion proponents. City Councilor Chris Iannella delivered a speech sponsored by the abortion opponents, Massachusetts Citizens For Life.
