Guam and Rota Declared Typhoon Disaster Areas

WASHINGTON —
President Reagan signed disaster declarations Wednesday for Guam and Rota, U.S. territories in the Pacific, to help them recover from damages sustained in a typhoon earlier this month. The White House said the President declared both to be major disaster areas, triggering a variety of assistance programs.
