Share

Deputy City Treasurer Sue McCabe has announced that she is running for treasurer in the April 12 municipal election.

McCabe, a 12-year municipal employee, is seeking to replace six-term treasurer Lu Herrera, who is retiring in April after 36 years with Culver City.

“After being the deputy city treasurer for the past 7 1/2 years and working with Lu Herrera, I’ve found I really enjoy the job,” McCabe said. “I feel I’m experienced and capable of providing a smooth transition between treasurers.”

McCabe has been endorsed by both Herrera and the Culver City Business and Professional Women.

As of Tuesday, no other candidates had announced their intentions to run for the $58,000-a-year position.
