Beverly Hills : Spadaro Won’t Seek 2nd Term
Councilwoman Charlotte Spadaro, who is completing her first term in office, announced late Tuesday night that she will not seek reelection.
Spadaro said in a brief statement that she made her decision now to allow candidates to seek her seat. Filing ends Feb. 4.
Mayor Benjamin H. Stansbury and Councilwoman Donna Ellman are among 10 candidates who have taken out nominating papers for three council seats. Three candidates have applied for city treasurer. Four-term Treasurer Ramon I. Gerson is not seeking reelection.
