WCAC Roundup : St. Mary’s Scores 61-59 Win Over Santa Clara

Robert Haugen had 17 points and 11 rebounds as St. Mary’s handed Santa Clara its first West Coast Athletic Conference defeat, 61-59, Thursday night at Moraga, Calif.
The Gaels (9-5, 1-2) were trailing, 46-39, with 10:47 left, then staged a 12-2 run to take a 51-48 lead.
Santa Clara (11-5, 2-1) had a chance to tie, but Chris Lane missed a 15-foot shot at the buzzer.
USF 75, San Diego 59--Rodney Tention scored 14 points and Joe DeBortoli had 13 as the Dons won their sixth straight game by routing the Toreros in San Francisco.
Patrick Clardy and Pat Giusti added 11 points apiece, while Keith Jackson and Mark McCathrion scored 10 each for USF (11-5, 3-0).
Craig Cottrell scored 17 points for San Diego (8-8, 0-3).
