CMS Enhancements announced an agreement with ComputerLand that it said will substantially boost its sales with the giant computer retail chain. Under the agreement, the 1,000-store ComputerLand chain will purchase products directly from CMS. In past years CMS has done business only with individual ComputerLand franchises. Tustin-based CMS said ComputerLand, the world’s largest computer chain, accounted for nearly $20 million of its fiscal 1987 sales of $100 million. The new agreement should boost the firm’s business with ComputerLand by “at least 30% to 40%,” said CMS President Jim Farooquee. “It’s a significant size contract,” he said. CMS is a manufacturer of data storage products for IBM, IBM-compatible and Apple personal computer products. The ComputerLand agreement covers CMS’s full line of products.
