Mexico Imports Decline

MEXICO CITY — Despite a further opening of the economy to foreign goods, Mexico’s imports have declined from 16% of the gross national product in 1981 to 7.9% in 1987, according to a study released Saturday by the Center of Economic Studies for the Private Sector.
