Tennessee’s Clement Sworn In to Congress

WASHINGTON —
Bob Clement, winner of a Jan. 19 special election in Tennessee’s 5th Congressional District, was sworn in Monday to succeed fellow Democrat Bill Boner, who resigned the seat to become mayor of Nashville.
Clement, 44, was sworn in by House Speaker Jim Wright (D-Tex.) soon after the House convened for the second session of the 100th Congress.
