Mike Robertson, first baseman and outfielder at Servite High School, has orally committed to attend USC next fall. April 13 is the first day a prep baseball player can sign a national letter of intent.
Robertson, 16, was the youngest player in the Connie Mack World Series last summer in Farmington, N.M. He batted .386 last season, and was a Times’ second-team all-county selection.
Robertson, a switch-hitter, hit 5 home runs and had 24 runs batted in for the Friars. Robertson also visited Illinois.
Robertson, who has a 3.2 grade-point average, will major in pre-law and business at USC.
