Local News in Brief : El Toro : Bank Robbed by Man With Uzi-Like Weapon
A man carrying what looked like an Uzi submachine gun held up an El Toro bank Tuesday, escaping with an undisclosed amount of money, authorities said.
At 12:45 p.m., a bearded man wearing a baseball cap entered the Southwest Bank branch in the 24000 block of Rockfield Boulevard and demanded money from a teller, Sheriff’s Lt. Richard J. Olson said.
The man had an Uzi-like weapon slung from a holster under his jacket, Olson said, and threatened the teller with it.
