Lausanne, headquarters of the International Olympic Committee, formally applied to serve as host city for the 1994 Winter Olympic Games.

Three previous bidders were also expected to submit new applications by next Monday’s deadline--Oestersund, Sweden; Sofia, Bulgaria; and Anchorage, Alaska. The choice for 1994 will be made in Seoul, South Korea, during the Summer Olympics.
