VIENNA —
An unarmed man made off with an envelope filled with $75,000 worth of Austrian currency Friday after grabbing it from a Saudi Arabian diplomat who was about to deposit the money, police said.
Assad Quotah, second secretary at the Saudi Embassy, was about to walk into the main branch of the Credit-Anstalt Bank, the country’s largest, when he was robbed of 900,000 schillings in embassy funds, police said.
Quotah was uninjured.
