Firefighters Dodge Bullets
Firefighters battling a blaze that erupted in a south Orange County ammunition factory early today had to dodge exploding bullets as they fought the fire, according to Orange County Fire Department officials.
No one was inside S & S Precision Bullets when the fire broke out and no one was injured in the fire. Firefighters were kept at bay for about 10 minutes while the bullets exploded, but were able to put out the blaze in about half an hour. Approximately $100,000 damage was sustained by the Laguna Hills factory, officials said. No other buildings in the industrial park were damaged. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
