Dole, Bush Each Got $6 Million in 3 Months

Republican front-runners George Bush and Bob Dole each collected more than $6.3 million for their presidential campaigns in the last quarter of 1987, reports released Monday by the Federal Election Commission showed.

Dole, the senator from Kansas, edged out the vice president for the three months ending Dec. 31. He took in $6.35 million to Bush’s $6.33 million. Former television evangelist Pat Robertson took in $4.7 million during the quarter, pushing his total for the year to $16.4 million. Dole has received a total of $14.3 million and Bush has collected $19 million.
