SDSU Defeats Hawaii, 59-58

The San Diego State basketball team ended a four-game losing streak with a 59-58 victory over Hawaii in a Western Athletic Conference game Monday night in front of 1,500 fans at Honolulu.

Junior guard Bryan Williams hit a free throw with two seconds left to give the Aztecs the victory.

Hawaii (2-17 overall, 1-7 in the WAC) has sole possession of last place in the WAC. The Aztecs are 8-11 and 2-6.

Ty Walker gave the Aztecs a 30-29 lead at the half when he hit a three-pointer at the buzzer. After taking a 42-38 lead, the Aztecs slowed the pace midway through the second half.
