Prize-winning art by students in the Cardiff and Encinitas elementary school districts will be exhibited in the five member galleries of the Leucadia Gallery Guild through Feb. 14. Officers of the Gallery Guild--composed of the Offtrack and Stanhope galleries, Seewald’s Photographic Gallery, the San Dieguito Art Guild and The Corner Frame Shop--selected the winning entries from those on display at area schools.

The guild was formed last year to promote art-related events in North County. According to Betty Sturdavan, representative of the San Dieguito Art Guild, “Our group would like to make Leucadia the artistic center of North County. After all, many artists and galleries have coexisted here for years.”
