Southeast Part of Koll Center Irvine Scheduled for Completion This Month : REAL ESTATE

Newport Beach-based Koll Co. said it will complete the southeast part of its Koll Center Irvine this month. The section includes four 11-story office buildings, the 500-room Irvine Marriott hotel and three restaurants.

The seven-year project culminates with the dedication of the fourth office building, where 60% of the space is already leased, Koll said.

The project, a joint venture with CIGNA Corp., totals 920,000 square feet of office space.

The 31-acre southeast sector of Koll Center Irvine runs along Von Karman Avenue between the San Diego Freeway and Michelson Drive near John Wayne Airport.

Koll also has begun construction on the first phase of Koll Center San Diego, a $160-million office, retail and apartment project on the waterfront in San Diego that will eventually include two high-rise office buildings.
