Cannes updates: Italian director Ettore Scola will head the jury at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, scheduled for May 11-23. Although Scola will preside over the panel of film professionals who deliberate in secret on the winner of the festival’s Golden Palm award for best film, he has never won the coveted prize himself. The officials added that the official poster for the 41st annual festival had been designed by Hungarian artist Tibor Timar.
