Executives of Lear Petroleum Corp. and the U.S. arm of British Petroleum Co. met to discuss an unexpected $250-million BP bid for the Dallas natural gas concern that analysts said would be a boon for both. A Lear spokesman said Lear and BP America met, but he declined to elaborate and would not say where the meeting had been held.
