A pair of all-star games, golf, track and a Winter Olympics preview perk up the TV sports schedule this weekend.

Pro basketball’s best turn up at the NBA All-Star Game Sunday at 9:45 a.m. on CBS (2)(8). Coverage of the 38th annual meeting between the Western and Eastern conferences will be televised from Chicago Stadium, home of NBA scoring leader Michael Jordan and the Bulls.

The game’s tip-off may be delayed by CBS’ coverage of the NASCAR Busch Clash auto race, which will get under way at the Daytona International Speedway Sunday at 9 a.m.

Viewers who would like to warm up for basketball’s All-Star Game can catch the league’s old-timers game, slam-dunk and long-distance shooting competition today at 11 a.m. on WTBS cable.

In its first telecast on cable TV, the National Football League’s annual Pro Bowl will be played in Honolulu by the National and American Football Conference stars Sunday at 5 p.m. on ESPN.

For indoor action, the track & field Millrose Games can be seen in a tape-delayed telecast from Madison Square Garden. NBC carries the event today at noon (4)(36)(39), with commentary by Charlie Jones, Frank Shorter and Dwight Stones.

In golf, the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am tournament comes from the Monterey Peninsula today and Sunday at 1 p.m. (2)(8).

As a teaser for its 16-day coverage of the Calgary Olympics, which starts next Saturday, ABC has a two-hour preview airing Sunday at 11 a.m. (7)(3)(10)(42). The program includes a mix of interviews, profiles and reports on the upcoming hockey, skiing and speed skating events.
