The Treatment of Dogs at UCI

I hope that people are able to read between the lines of the story about the beagle theft at UCI (Jan. 31).

This is a minute incident compared with the millions of animals that are tortured to death in universities around the world each year. Millions of our taxpayer dollars are handed out for worthless and ridiculous experiments that prove nothing and are harmful to man.

I wish everyone would investigate animal experimentation and stop believing all the lies before it is too late.
