Tremor Jolts Turkey

ISTANBUL, Turkey —
An earth tremor measuring 3.3 on the open-ended Richter scale shook the western town of Izmit, a Turkish oil refining center, but no damage or casualties were reported, the Anatolian News Agency said Monday. A meteorological station quoted by the agency said the tremor hit Izmit, about 25 miles southeast of Istanbul, on Sunday.
