Taiwan ordered six aircraft from Boeing Co. in a move to help reduce its trade surplus with the United States, officials said. The order for five Boeing 747-409 passenger planes and a 747-209 cargo jet was worth about $774 million . . . Houston-based Continental Airlines reported that it flew 3.2 billion revenue passenger miles (one paying passenger flown one mile) last month, up 51.2% from a year ago.
