Huntington Park : Treasurer, Clerk Challenged

Huntington Park Councilmen Thomas E. Jackson and Jack W. Parks will seek reelection against Raul R. Perez, a 45-year-old loan officer, and Raul Aragon, a police officer, in the April 12 municipal election.
Jackson, 52, a flower shop owner, was first elected to the City Council in 1968. Parks, 63, who owns an auto body shop, was elected in 1976. Council members receive a $500 monthly stipend, which will increase to $550 beginning April 19.
City Treasurer Eileen F. Gerardi, 51, is seeking reelection against Alan Kartsman. Gerardi was appointed to the position in 1982 and won reelection in 1984. The city treasurer receives a $150 monthly stipend.
City Clerk Marilyn Boyette, 50, is seeking reelection against Louie Aragon, 25, a real estate sales agent. Boyette was first elected in 1976. The full-time position pays $4,268 a month.
