Political Notes From All Over: Democratic Presidential hopeful Sen. Albert Gore (D-Tenn.) and his wife Tipper were reported by the major wire services to be making campaign stops in Virginia and New Hampshire flying in a customized Boeing 727 that the rock group Pink Floyd uses on its tours. Pink Floyd is one of the groups criticized by Tipper Gore’s Parents Music Resource Committee. She has been quoted as saying that the band plays “suicide-obsessed music.”
