Dominique Wilkins of the Atlanta Hawks, upset with the judging in last weekend’s National Basketball Assn. All-Star slam dunk competition in Chicago, says he will not participate in the future.
“That’s it for me,” Wilkins said. “No point inviting me. I won’t compete in the slam dunk contest next year. I won’t be in it ever again unless they hold it in Atlanta.”
Wilkins finished second to Michael Jordan of the Chicago Bulls Saturday after receiving a score of 45 out of a possible 50--his lowest total of the competition--on his final dunk.
