A Vote for Fregosi as All-Time Angel

I applaud the idea of establishing an Angels’ hall of fame, and selecting Bobby Grich as a player to be honored in the hall. A fierce and effective competitor, he surely deserves to be there.

At the same time, I think there was a better choice to be the first player named to that hall. It’s hard to see how that honor could go to anyone other than Jim Fregosi. Jim was the first real star of the Angels, and, unlike Grich, made his fame strictly as an Angel.
