Work Started on Eye Research Center at UCLA : $20-Million Development Expected to Complement Stein Institute by Fall, ’89
Construction has begun on the $20-million Doris Stein Eye Research Center on the UCLA campus in Westwood.
The 67,000-square-foot building will accomodate an expansion of programs associated with the Jules Stein Eye Institute and UCLA’s opthalmology department when it is completed by fall, 1989. It will also provide additional space for clinical research related to eye diseases.
The Long Beach office of Dillingham Construction is contractor of the three-story building, and Welton Becket Associates is architect.
