Man Held After Threat of Suicide With Dynamite

ARLINGTON, Tex. —
A man who threatened to blow himself up in a bar with dynamite he had strapped to his body was taken into custody by police early Sunday after four hours of negotiations.
A bartender at the Plaza Lounge said the man came into the bar Saturday night and told her he planned to “commit police suicide.” But after negotiations with police, John James Allgood, 33, surrendered.
