A former security aide to political extremist Lyndon H. LaRouche Jr. was sentenced in Boston to three years in prison and fined $50,000 for his part in an alleged $1-million credit card scam used to finance LaRouche’s 1984 presidential campaign. Roy Frankhauser, a former member of the American Nazi Party and Ku Klux Klan, was convicted Dec. 10 in U.S. District Court of one count of obstruction of justice in the scheme. Officials said he would not begin serving his sentence for another three weeks to give his lawyer time to file appeals. Frankhauser agreed to testify at the trial of LaRouche, who is on trial with six of his associates and five affiliated organizations on obstruction of justice charges.
