Turn and Dance Wins Santa Anita Feature
Turn and Dance rallied from fifth at the far turn to beat Proper Mary by a head in the $55,000 turf allowance feature at Santa Anita Thursday before a crowd of 15,284.
Ridden by Eddie Delahoussaye and carrying 116 pounds, Turn and Dance was timed in 1:50 1/5 for 1 1/8 miles. The victory was worth $30,250, and Turn and Dance paid $14, $7.80 and $5.40.
The 5-year-old mare gave Delahoussaye his third victory of the day. Delahoussaye also won on Scented Silence in the third and Peppy’s Consul in the seventh.
