Thieves broke into an Oslo museum late Monday night and stole “The Vampire,” one of Norwegian artist Edvard Munch’s best-known works, Oslo police said Tuesday. “It’s impossible to put a value on the picture,” said Arne Eggum, chief curator at the Munch Museum. “But it’s insured for between $1.6 million and $3.1 million.” Police said border agents will be keeping a sharp eye out for the artwork.
