For weeks “Dirty Dancing” clung to the No. 1 spot on Billboard magazine’s video rental chart against tough competition, fighting off “Platoon,” “Predator,” “RoboCop” and “La Bamba.” This week “Platoon” finally outflanked “Dancing” and edged it out of first place. “No Way Out” moved up one notch to No. 6 on the rental chart. “Jaws: the Revenge” is chewing up competitors, shooting up to No. 14 in just two weeks. “Lady and the Tramp” is still No. 1 on the sales chart, which measures sales to retailers and distributors. Other sales charts: The Grateful Dead’s “So Far” tops the music video chart; Bob Mann’s “Automatic Golf” leads the recreational sports chart.

* “Spaceballs,” Mel Brooks’ “Star Wars” spoof, has the Schwartzon its side. It debuted at No. 11 on the rental chart and looks to be a candidate for the Top Five.
