EVANSVILLE, Minn. —
A 77-year-old man who told authorities he shot his ailing wife to death in a nursing home so she would not have to “go through any more pain” was charged Tuesday with first- and second-degree murder, authorities said.
Oscar Carlson of Evansville is accused of killing Agnes Carlson, 71, who suffered from advanced Alzheimer’s disease.
Mrs. Carlson was shot four times with a .22-caliber pistol Monday at Crestview Manor Nursing Home in Evansville, authorities said.
