“Choose good nutrition for today and tomorrow” is the theme of the 15th Annual National Nutrition Month, according to the California Dietetic Assn. (CDA).

The annual campaign is co-sponsored by CDA and the American Dietetic Assn. (ADA).

“The message behind this year’s theme is that good nutrition should be a way of life, not just a passing thought,” said Corinne Williams, a registered dietitian and CDA president.

“The theme suggests people can eat their favorite foods, but they should keep track of the big picture of overall good health when they choose foods,” Williams said.

The ADA/CDA campaign reaches millions of Californians through its many activities. The American Dietetic Assn. and its affiliates in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, have more than 60,000 members. It is the nation’s largest group of nutrition professionals.
