27 Die in Peru Bus Plunge

CHICLAYO, Peru —
A passenger bus plunged 100 feet off a rain-damaged Andean highway into the raging Huancabamba River, killing at least 27 people and injuring 16, police said Wednesday. Authorities said rescue teams were searching the river for more victims of the crash Tuesday near the city of Jaen, about 410 miles northeast of Lima.
