A detention hearing for stock speculator John Mulheren, 38, accused of threatening a witness in the Ivan F. Boesky insider trading probe, has been moved from New Jersey to New York. U.S. District Judge Kevin Duffy ordered the hearing moved up to 10 a.m. today in Manhattan, from 2 p.m. in Fort Monmouth, N.J., at the request of defense lawyer Otto Obermaier. The defense attorney said he wanted the hearing moved up “to prevent the prosecution from delaying--and allowing Mr. Mulheren, ultimately, to be released on bail.”
