For Chinese, April 7 Is No-Smoking Day

BEIJING —
China’s 240 million smokers will be asked to observe a “no tobacco day” next month. Circulars on the health hazards of smoking are being sent all over the country, and local officials will be asked to dissuade people from lighting up on April 7, the official New China News Agency said Thursday.
