U.S. Policy in Central America

Share

During the past two weeks I have had the opportunity to spend over a week in Panama working with individuals directly involved with government agencies as well as some of the more important business individuals.

Although I am no great fan of Ronald Reagan, I am deeply impressed with the quality of his restraint in not interfering with the Panamanian situation with gunboat diplomacy. It would appear that slow escalation to bring about the change is not only in the best interest of the U.S., but will find great favor and appreciation from the Panamanian people.
