From a Times Staff Writer
NEVADA TEST SITE, Nev. —
Ten women wearing mock “radiation suits” and gas masks were arrested for trespassing here Sunday morning in the community of Mercury, 4 miles inside the weapons testing range, authorities said.
Separately, 12 other anti-nuclear protesters were arrested and released at the southern main entrance of the site north of Las Vegas.
Meanwhile, about 1,000 protesters remained of the 3,000 who gathered Saturday at an elaborate campsite called “Peace City,” a mile north of the test site.
